My favorite character is Harry Potter.

Here is my letter to Harry:

Dear Harry,

My name is Jenny, I'm reading the book about you. That's why I want to write this letter to you. I think you have an interedting life. When you just was 1 years old, your parents was killed by Voldermort.I feel sorry about that, you lost your parents at the young age. However, Voldermort can't kill you,and dissapeared since then. Every person in the magic community knew about that, and they admired you.You grew in a bad family but your personality was good.

Since you were a little boy, you already had the magic inside your body. Everytime you were in danger, it appeard and help you. I wish I could have this ability. I was more interested when you got the letter from Hogwart school, that make a change for your life. You could go to the world you belong to. I also was happy when you met Hagrid, the giant man. He's your first friend,he came from the magic worldand he helped you a lot.I liked the way that he made Dursley get a pig tail. Moreover, I liked the Wesleys family, they were very kind with you, they shew you how to get in the flatform nine and three-quarters, Ron Wesleys told you the stories about the world that you would take part in. Your story became more attractive when you arrived to Hogwart. It was wonderful when you were in Griffindor. It was the house of many heroes in your world for all the time. Ron Wesleys was your best friend and always beside you when you got a problem. Hermione Granger would be your good friend too, although she always complain about something. Then about the Quidditch, I was proud of you when you was chosen for the Griffindor Quidditch Team at the first year at Hogwart. I'm sure that you would become a good player.

That is all my feeling about you, your life and your personality made you become famous. You are the hero of many children in my world. Your life had a lot of challenges, could you get over them? I hope so.
I have to do my homework now,so I'll stop here.
Take care,
Jenny.

Encyclopedia Research

My topic is Medicine. This topic is so broad, so and want to focus on studying caffein and how it affects the body. I choose caffein because I say many people in th U.S drink coffee everyday and caffein is the main part of coffee.

The first encyclopedia I read about Caffein is "Magrill's medical guide" vol 1, 3rd edition in 2005. This general encyclopedia gives me the background informations of Caffein. It difines that caffein is a chemical substance found in foods and some drinks such as coffee, chocolate, etc. Many people use caffein like a chemical substance that helps them to have more energetic and wake up in the morning.
In other hand, caffeine aloso brings to human's health many problems such as the insomnia, nervouness, and decreasing the coordination.

The name of my subject encyclopedia is "The Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine" published in 2000, vol 1. This book gives me more informations about my topic.
_ The definition has more details : Caffeine rouses the central nervous system(CNS).

We can find it in coffee, Kola seed kernels or nuts easily. We can also find it in almost tablet or capsule such as: prescription pain relievers, medicines for migraine headaches and antihistamines.

_General use:
Caffeine has a lot of effects such as: make people more alert, less drowsy and improves coordination. Caffeine also make medicine work more quickly and effectively. It is used to treat other conditions, comprising breathing problems in newborns and in young babies after surgery.

_Precautions:
Person who use a lot of caffeine for a long time can build up a tolerance on it, they must use more and more caffeine to get the same effect. If they stop using caffeine suddenly, some problem may appear, such as headache, fatigue, yawing, vomiting, runny nose, etc. Those problem may appear for 1 week. Do not use caffeine and alcohol at the same time. The mix between caffeine and alcohol can lead to an upset stomach, nausea and vomiting. If you have some allergies to foods, dyes, preservatives or to compounds aminophylline, dyphylline, oxtriphylline, etc.., let check it first with physician before using caffeine. Sometimes, when a person who had an unusal reaction to caffeine, they need to check with a physician before using it again.

_Pregnacy:
Caffeine also has some problems with pregnant, it can pass woman's body into the developing embryo. It may cause miscarriage or problems with the baby's heart rhythm. So, when woman have to be pregnant, they should check with physician before using caffeine. Caffeine can pass into breast milk and can affect the nursing baby. Baby can be irritable or have trouble sleeping when their mother use 600mg or more of caffeine a day.

_Other medical conditions:
Caffeine also cause some effects with these medical conditions such as: peptic ulcer, high blood pressure, liver disease, trouble sleeping, anxiety, etc...Some side effects may appear when you use higher than recommended doses, it can cause excitement, confusion, a sensation of lighting flashing before the eyes, ringing in the ears, muscle twitches rapid heartbeat, convulsions, etc...

Caffeine has a lot of effects and it stimulates the nervous system, so anyone taking other central nervous system stimulants or people who want to use caffeine should be careful before using caffeine.

COMPARATION:
The "Magrill's medical guide" gives me a lot of informations about caffein but they are too general. In another hand, "The Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine" has more informations in Caffein that relate to my topic specificly. This subject encyclopedia has the clearly title that helps me easy to follow. In my oral presentation I will introduce Cafein and talk about its advantage and the damage of caffein to the user.
